The Deluxe version of Pro Strategy Football is now on the App Store, and kicks off with improved screens, new Drives functionality, and Season Play! Also, since people were tired of ads, this is now a paid app, with no ads. The ads-based version will remain on the App Store as a “Lite” version, but I’m going to shift focus to the Deluxe version.
This update has been a lot of fun to develop, but also challenging, because it has so MUCH information, and it’s challenging finding the balance between making an app friendly but have all that information accessible. Tim Moreno was great in making suggestions, especially in an alternative way to take a team through the season.
During testing, I’ve seen and played some great games, including seeing one simulated playoff game where New Jersey (the Giants) went for it on fourth and one, and rather than running, did a play action long pass to win the game! I know that possibility’s in the code, but it’s rare, and so that was fun to see.
